It comes with a set of accompanying frontends for activists to use in order to (hopefully) make it easier for them to help the IMC project. Each frontend has a specific set of features, and hopefully with the help of the community the number (and quality) of frontends will increase in time. = Supported CMSs = What follows is a list of CMSs that are known to be used by at least one IMC collective and for which we have at least some plans of adding support : * SF-Active |- URL : http://sfactive.indymedia.org/ |- Used by : San Francisco |- Status : this is the first one we're working on * MIR |- URL : |- Used by : Brasil |- Status : currently not supported, no test sites publicly available There is a more complete list here : http://docs.indymedia.org/view/Devel/WebHome = Frontends = - CLI - The command-line interface is the simplest frontend available, and it was devised mostly to be used by l33t people and also inside other scripts. - GTK GUI - GTK frontend. - S60 - The S60 frontend has been developed for use with Symbian Series 60 cellphones. Most of Nokia's smartphones use this platform, if you would like to check which devices are available check http://www.s60.com . It *should* work on all 3rd edition devices, but it currently is being tested solely on a Nokia E65. When fully working, this frontend should be able to : - publish news using any data transfer mode available (EDGE, GPRS, 3G, Wi-Fi) - publish photos taken with the cell camera - publish audios recorded directly on the cell
